STUDY

Read Matthew 9:35-38 and ponder Jesus’ statement, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few”. Ask yourself whether or not the same is true today. Consider your work, your neighborhood, or even your home. Is the harvest still plentiful? Are you laboring to bring the Gospel to those who are like “sheep without a shepherd”?

Pray

PRAY

Understand that there is no way for us to follow Christ on our own and that’s why He gave us the Holy Spirit. So ask the Spirit to empower you to be a laborer to the harvest and make disciples. The truth of the matter is that we cannot do it alone, but the beautiful part about it is that we aren’t alone. We can stand firm on Jesus’ promise that He “will be with us always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:20)

PRODUCTION NOTES

THOUGHTS FROM THE FIELD

PARENTING IN THE AMAZON

We met Josiah while visiting Project Amazon, the ministry his father founded in Santarém, Brazil in 1977. It was exciting to see how the Lord is working through him and his wife, Jennifer, as we traveled with them to a church plant in the Amazon jungle and witnessed, first-hand, the fruit of the Christ-like discipleship of his parents, Luke and Christine.

GOD IS MOVING ALL OVER THE GLOBE, HERE IS WHY WE CHOSE THIS STORY:

Praise God

PRAISE GOD

Josiah is a story about parenthood and discipleship modeled after Jesus’ own example. We believe this film brings glory to God by showing the great joy and eternal fruit of following Christ in this way.

Promote Mission

PROMOTE MISSION

Discipleship and mission are inseparable. Luke and Christine Huber’s lives as parents were defined by discipleship and our hope is that exposing God’s work in them will stir others to do the same.

Proclaim the Gospel

PROCLAIM THE GOSPEL

The Gospel is proclaimed in the lives of Luke and Christine and Josiah and Jennifer Huber. Without the life-changing truth of the Gospel, this story does not exist and our hope is that same truth will sink into the hearts of those who see this film.
