Moving Works is a filmmaking ministry focused on achieving 3 goals:
Praise God through Film
Psalm 105:1-2 proclaims, “Give thanks to the Lord, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done. Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts.” Moving Works seeks to do this by making Christ-exalting films about Gospel-focused ministries/believers serving on the frontlines. We don’t make promotional videos. We make films that reveal what an extraordinary God does through ordinary, yet obedient, people. We believe making known these “wonderful acts” through filmmaking brings glory to Him and can change lives in an eternal way. After all, He is the creator of the universe, the sustainer of all things and the provider of eternal redemption through the death and resurrection of His son, Jesus Christ!
Promote His Ministries on the Frontlines
While discussing the body of Christ, 1 Corinthians 12:28 describes “those able to help others”. Simply put, that’s us. So often ministries can’t give account of God’s power, faithfulness and abounding grace in their work because they lack the resources to effectively do so. That’s where we come in. We see ourselves as a ministry to ministries. We believe that 100% of the resources being given to God’s workers should remain with them and, because of this, we do not charge for our work. Our desire is to make films that give glory to Jesus Christ while promoting His ministries and His servants being obedient to His teachings on the frontlines.
Proclaim the Gospel by Partnership
Moving Works does not exist to sidestep the church. We exist to equip it. 1 Corinthians 12:12 states it best, “The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; they form one body. So it is with Christ.” This scripture reveals that we need to work together, not as independent parts seeking to complete our own missions, but as one body striving to accomplish His. This is why we desire to partner with churches and distribute our work free of charge to the global body of Christ. In the end, our hope is that these stories will inspire churches and ministries to work together, but more importantly, that the Holy Spirit will use them to reveal the truth of Christ to those who don’t know him and light a fire under those who do.
